Job Overview:

Cheyanne Symone is seeking Beaders to support the product inventory sector of business. Beaders are responsible for supporting the Creative Directors in executing inventory needs based on demand. This position requires self-motivation, attention to detail, ability to meet critical deadlines, positive professional attitude, and ability to work with a team. You will be expected to effectively handcraft beaded products for Cheyanne Symone in a timely fashion and according to set design specifications. This position is contractual and hours worked is dependent upon beader availability and customer demand. 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Complete the Beader Training process in order to learn Cheyanne Symone designs and requirements
  • Effectively use beadwork and jewelry-making techniques to handcraft high-quality products
  • Regularly communicate and coordinate with Cheyanne Symone Creative Directors and Operations Director about your beadwork, completion and shipment timelines, and beading supply needs
  • Perform light data entry about the inventory you create and ship to ensure that inventory needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner

Physical and Mental Abilities: 

While performing the duties of this position, a Beader is regularly required to talk and to hear. A Beader is also regularly required to sit and/or stand, and use hands to handle or feel tools and materials (including very small and delicate items). Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Beadwork for Cheyanne Symone also requires the ability to learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, make timely decisions in the context of a workflow, and to communicate with other team members. It also requires the ability to complete tasks and to maintain lines of communication in situations that have a speed or productivity quota.

If you do not have one or more of the abilities listed above, we are happy to explore different approaches that would enable you to  perform the essential functions of this position.  

Material and Logistical Needs: Cheyanne Symone will provide nearly all material needs for creating beaded inventory, however the applicant should have access to the following:

  • Beading needles
  • Fabric scissors
  • A mailing address and post office to ship and receive materials/inventory
  • Reliable wi-fi access and phone service for check-in meetings
  • Printer for printing shipping labels (optional - if you do not have access to a printer we can work with you to figure out how to ship)

Location: Remote. Primary duties are to be performed in your own space with regularly scheduled virtual check-ins, with an option for in-person check-ins at our office in Ann Arbor, MI, depending on your location.

Step 3: Complete a sample. We will send you materials and instructions to create a sample pair of earrings and ship it to us.
