Cheyanne Symone Featured in Spring 2024 Issue of Native Max Magazine
We are overjoyed to announce that Cheyanne Symone was featured in the Spring 2024 Issue of Native Max Magazine! You can find our brand story beginning on page 28 entitled “Heritage Over Hype: Cheyanne Symone”.
Native Max did a beautiful job assembling this feature on Cheyanne Symone, and we appreciate their coverage of our company! Please also check out the other articles if you can- it’s a great issue!
Photographer Michael Noble Jr. shot the stunning photos for the Native Max article. The photos feature the fierce and gorgeous Chelsea Hicks, and the artistic hair and make-up stylings of the talented Natani Notah!

What is Native Max Magazine?
For anyone outside of the Indigenous Community (or in the community!) that hasn't heard of Native Max Magazine, they have several platforms to interact with and offer all different types of content from indigenous voices! As their About page says, “We are a community of creatives on a mission to strengthen connections to culture and identity by inspiring and empowering our readers. Through a constellation of platforms and networks, we focus on expanding Indigenous talent across print, digital, online, events, and beyond.”
Essentially, it's *kind of a big deal.* Cheyanne Symone is honored to be part of the Indigenous talent represented in Native Max!
A Note About Cheyanne Symone’s Founder and Lead Designer: Brittany Cheyanne Turner
“You hear from Brittany often, but you don’t hear a lot about her. I’d like to tell you who she is from my experience having known her for 11 years.
Brittany is among the most strong, determined, and hardworking people I know. Since 2018, we’ve been navigating the challenges of running a small business. These include website maintenance, working with student groups, taxes, working with subcontractors, buying materials, selling internationally, staying afloat during a global pandemic and high inflation rates, personal struggles and joys, periods where growth was difficult and where it was rampant, and others. We’ve worked together to address these challenges and adapt, and will continue to do so even more effectively now with Sarah on our team!
Brittany doesn’t give up, and tries different solutions until she finds what works. I’m overjoyed that we have the Limited Edition Tulip Earrings in this collection, because I know she’s been working on this concept for several years. Brittany reworked the design until they met her vision, and they were the very first pair of earrings to be pre-ordered when we released the new collection! Perseverance pays off.
This fierce and gorgeous Indigenous woman is funny, talented, humble, an environmental scientist, an artist, a mom, a wife, a friend, a daughter, a member of the Native community, a fancy dancer- the list goes on! Easiest thing to say is that she is a BOSS and an INSPIRATION.
Brittany- I’m so proud of you, the hard work you put into this company, and into making your dreams a reality. Every time I get a compliment on my Cheyanne Symone earrings, I get to say ‘Thank you! My friend designed and hand beaded them!’ and shamelessly whip out a business card. I’m honored to be the original Cheyanne Symone Super Fan.”
